Great news!! Effects of the pred.....
She stood up and barked!!!!! Double yea!!!!! It looked like it startled her...to hear after the last weeks of NOT hearing.....  Nodes are shrinking..... (I thought she was on 50 ml. of ped.....BUT she is on 60ml.) She has had only 4 doses and IT IS WORKING~~~~~~~~~   |

| Best news EVER!!! Many years ago, our first sheepie, Buford, developed lock jaw. The vet put him under to see if he could pry his jaw open, but even under anesthesia he couldn't get the jaw to budge. His first instinct was to put him down. But he was not prepared for my response - I think I scared the living daylights out of him! I cried and SCREAMED - There HAS to be something you can do! He's only 7 years old!! More to appease his hysterical patient than actually believing it would work, the vet put Buford on MASSIVE doses of prednisone. Like was previously mentioned, it was a cure or kill treatment. AND IT WORKED!!! Within days, Buford could open his mouth enough to drink and eat, and as the days went by, all the stiffness went away. We kept him on the high doses for quite a while, then VERY slowly weaned him off. My beautiful boy lived to be 14!!! Even the vet was amazed. SO - there is hope!! |

Thank you EVERYONE!!!!!  Heart is still showing her 'happy' face which means, she is feeling better!!! The BARKING??? oh...how I love to hear that high pitched yap when I open the door and know she has the energy to be excited~~~ She RAN out of our room the other morning and almost slid into the back door!!!!!  ((haven't seen her run for a while)))... She is doing WELL!!!!! I am doing GREAT.....Dino is doing WONDERFUL!!! |
