The water supply here comes from groundwater aquifers, it isn't hard enough to need a water softener but it is higher in calcium than our old water supply. There is no heavy chlorinated smell in the water but it is treated. It is magic, it must have shifted the Ph level just enough- the town could bottle this and sell it to white bearded dog owners. I think of the weekly baking soda beard baths and constant upkeep before. I don't even have to clean his beard after he eats anymore, it's that white. Now if only I could discover the secret to keeping the rest of him snowy-white! Last weekend was bath weekend and his feet and belly are clean.... for now. |

Thats very good news for you. I have read that indigestion tablets do the job but have never tried them-has anyone and do they work-how much do you ues etc? |
I love that your water change made such an improvement. I say you could bottle and sell it! |
For all of his other health issues, Oscar's beard has always stayed fairly white. He takes Pepcid AC (famotidine) every day, which reduces the acid in his system, so I assume it does something to his PH levels. Also, since all of his tummy troubles started as a puppy, he only gets filtered water. My dog is HIGH maintenance!!! Laurie and Oscar |
That's quite a find!!! I'll take three large bottles of water please |
