Completed another successful surrender/transport/transfer today. This time it was a sheepie. I worked with Madeline Erickson on this one. George is an owner surrender. His owners couldn't manage him, another dog, and their 2 small children, so Madeline found a great home for George. The owners brought him to me and then I met the new owners half way between my hometown & theirs. George is a big boy; probably about 26" at the withers and 80-85 lbs. I'm not used to sheepies that big. Zeke is about 24" and 60 lbs. But he is gorgeous. He has an awesome coat. I wish Zeke's was half as nice as George's. I think George will have a great new life with his new owners. Here's some pics of him. |

George looks happy! Way to go Mark--helping George get to his new home! |
George is cutie. I am glad you were able to help transport him. |
Yeah - good for new beginnings and all those who help make them happen! George, your life in a new home will be wonderful. Have a happy life. Linda Zimmerman |
George is a cutie. Mark, thanks for doing this. I adopted an owner surrender and it warms my heart when they find a family who will love them. |
Lovely boy and I'm sure you were thinking..........he could come home with me..........Thank you for helping rescue! |
How old is he?? and where did he live b4. He looks a lot like my Domino wondering if it is the same family?? |
He'll be 2 on December 11th. His original owners bought him from a pet store. They got rid of him because he got too big. They sold him to the folks that surrendered him to me. So the new owners are his third owners. I think the new home will stick. |
Thanks for helping George to get to his new home. He is beautiful. Oscar is a little bigger than George (27" at the shoulder, and 99 lbs), so I am always surprised at how small other sheepdogs seem to me. Laurie and Oscar |
He looks like he will be very happy with his new family. I do love transporting...it is always a surprise. You get some happy dogs, and sometimes they bark and howl the whole drive |
George was good on the drive. Other than resting his monster head on my shoulder and turning it so that I couldn't see. And it wasn't like I could shove him back like I can with Brick or Zeke. If an 85 lb dog doesn't want to move, he isn't moving. |
Wow look at the gorgeous eye! Glad he has someone like you to help. |
Nice job, Mark. He has such a happy smile |
Good job He looks like he was well cared for. He is a beauty. Thank goodness for people like you. |
Great job! George looks so much like my Harley I am awestruck. I mean they could be VERY easily mistaken for one another. Eerie. |
Great job Mark. George is a lucky boy. 3 is his magic number. I too, am used to a big boy. Oliver is 105lbs. Macie Grace is approximately 65lbs. I call her shorty. George is so handsome I would have hard time delivering him anywhere except my house (dogmom) Thank you Mark. |
great job..Mark...what a cutie!!!! |
