| I wish our church would do that. Then again when the priest comes to bless the house each new year, all creatures are blessed......if they can be rounded up. |
One of the churches in our town does it. My friend Lois posted the event on our Therapy Dog's FB page...."Messiah Lutheran church is having a Blessing of the Animals service on Saturday, October 5th. Pets do not have to be Lutheran to attend."  |

| A priest used to to come to the barn to bless the horses and barn cats. Unfortunately he died and we've not found someone to take his place. I always enjoyed the blessing of the horses and felt it gave a bit of extra "protection." Of course my horse was terrified of the priest.... |
