I'd never heard of it, so I searched it. It's Petsmart's store brand dog food. I went through their products on their site, and they don't have a grain free option in their products. The regular foods look adequate, comparable to many foods. I have quite a few friends who feed the CostCo dog foods too - they seem a similar ingredient formulary. Mine aren't grain free all the time - I purposely rotate foods every few months or so. One benefit is it's supposed to minimize food allergies. It also gives you great flexibility with purchasing food. My dogs all are great with switching foods (cold turkey, no transitioning) at whim. Great if you travel, have a food not available, etc. It's a extra bonus for me, beyond why I started rotating foods If I see a good deal on a good food - I have the option of just buying a bag or 5 and switching my dogs. And I'm talking DOGS - we have 6 of them and more when we have fosters. Young and old, rescue to show dogs - they all switch great. And during the 7 years I've been doing this, I have no one with any food allergies or sensitivities. None of the Purina foods are in my rotation, so I really can't comment on how this one would compare. |
