How long after vomiting & fasting before a dog poops again?

Zeke threw up around 10:30 PM on Saturday. He was acting fine before and after the incident. He did eat some grass while out on his last walk of the night, which was just before he puked. I think I overfed him at dinnertime, which was about 6 PM.
So of course I did not feed him on Sunday morning. He pooped normally Sunday morning. I gave him some rice and chicken for dinner last night and for breakfast this morning.
He did not poop for me last night nor this morning.
When can I expect him to go again?

He's acting totally normal, so no worries there.

So to recap, dinner on Saturday at 6 PM, ate some grass on Saturday at 10 PM, no poops, puked up dinner at 10:30 PM, no breakfast on Sunday, normal poops on Sunday morning, chicken & rice for dinner on Sunday at 6 PM, no poops Sunday night, chicken & rice for breakfast today at 5:30 AM, no poops this morning.
When can I expect him to go again?

Chicken and white rice are low residue so it may be 24 hours or more. Once you start kibble back up, things return to normal. He's still stressed plus Dad being extra kind......he'll be fine.
He gave me a pretty good poop right after work. Not a large amount, but formed. So that's good.
Sounds like he will be back on schedule. The chicken and rice don't have a lot of fillers to not much waste to poop out. I find it does take a day or so to get some poop so glad you got some. Boy, do we have strange conversations on this forum!

Sounds like Zeke has taken care of business already. I can tell you from vast experience with Oscar, and his myriad of digestive troubles, that it can be 24 - 48 hours after a fast before he goes again. Longer is better, as it means that you are less likely to have diarrhea the longer the food takes to go through the system. The first few times, I would freak out, worried about a blockage. If he went longer than 48 hours, I would take him in to the vet.
