Haven't seen one recently, but for years there was a concrete OES .........weighs "a ton" so shipping would be prohibitive. So at one time there was a concrete mold used by the industry to make statues. No clue where one might be. There are various OES Crossing signs, etc..........look on Ebay for a start. There's a 10" x 7" garden statue/concrete on Ebay............back a ways. |
Thanks! I was actually given the name of someone who makes them on OES of Facebook! |
Would love to know who makes them! I have looked for one for quite some time. I have been able to find smaller concrete statues on Ebay, but I really want a larger one sitting, not lying down. |
What a unique piece to have. I would also be interested. |
There is a company in Michigan that makes statues. Lake orion concrete products 248-693-8683. I don't know if they ship. We bought a Golden retriever from the for about $90.00 |
There's a lady in our neighbourhood who has a garden OES statue on her front lawn. Ironically, she is very afraid of our dogs... |
I picked the concrete one up at an auction a few years ago for $25! Keep an eye out on craigslist and estate sales, too! |
How about a Fountain OES, maybe lifting his leg? you can fill in the rest of the details yourselves!!!! |

Thanks for everyone's help! You can order via ceramics@AOL.com or through Our Way Ceramics via their facebook page. Check it out! https://www.facebook.com/Ourwayceramics The small is about 13" and the large 17"...$25.00 small. $50.00 large. They can go outside...its clay that has been fired to 2000 degrees. Firing makes it porous....if you want them painted like the dogs its done with underglzes then glazed (glass)and fired a second time to just under 2000 degrees. I will be ordering ours soon! |
much better price than the one I posted! Can't wait to see it! |
One of our forum members, Germany, has a nice OES statue in her garden. Maybe PM her and ask where she got it. |
