Today was the second round heartworm injection for Kensie. Slow start when vet wanted to look at ears, the left one has had a simmering infection. A big whimper but allowed it.....ears are looking better. Injection gets a shaved spot on back. Last time a nice 1" x 2" nothing great. Different vet tech who loved clippers......a 6" x 8" spot.. Now I have to worry about sunburn. When she came back to me after her shave and injection she was dribbling pee so I took the leash and continued out of the exam room and out the front door and about half way across the parking lot heading for the weeds when poor thing couldn't hold it any more.......pee followed by immediate loose bowel. Oh the trauma. We have to go back tomorrow for the Ivermectin injection, odds on getting her into the car, let alone into the office? She is already in pain, has had her Prednisone tablets but just can't get comfortable. Poor thing. They must be some humdinger of an injection. |
