Happy Birthday Virginia!!!!

Our sweet sweet Virginia turns 8 today, we love her so much, she has brought so much light and joy into this world with Mady, Gracie, and all her other puppies, and just the bottomless love she brings to everyone. We had her and her sister Morgan for about 6 weeks when she was six and fell in love with them then. We missed her terribly when she went back to Amber's but we made an agreement with Amber that she would retire with us after her final litter (and somehow, she came with an extra puppy). She has began her second career as a therapy dog and dabbled in herding and agility. She is extremely mellow and laid-back most of the time, except when she disapproves of how her puppies are behaving, then the annoyed momma-bear comes out! I find she sneaks up on people slowly and often becomes their favourite, when we took her to Sheepiepalooza, she was freshly shaved, and I figured she would not be noticed as much as the celebrity :wink: Mady or the adorable puppy Gracie but so many people really took to Virginia, she was an unexpected star.





Queen of the Pillows, Virginia has made this corner and all its pillows hers, according to Amber, Virginia has always loved comfort, and she always finds the most comfortable spot to be, and it becomes hers. She often sleeps in bed with us, often alongside me with her head on my pillow :oops:

After agility class last night (Virginia, by the way, can zoom through a tunnel at lightening speed, showing the youngsters a thing or two!) we pretended we were in St. Louis and bought the girls ice cream. We told them to pretend that it was the fancy St. Louis beef-flavoured frozen yoghurt. It wasn't quite as yummy as that, but they enjoyed their Dairy Queen birthday treat. I still can't believe that we have three sheepies. It has gone so well, they get along beautifully. Virginia does still feel the need to clean their faces from time to time, so I guess the mama instinct never quite goes away! I love my mama bear. Off to therapy dog work tonight, no rest for Virginia!

Look at those eyes! Of course she is loving. Virginia oozes warmth. Can't think of a better gift to her pups than her laid back attitude.

Sorry this is so LATE!! I have had a very busy June and July! So glad that August is here and things are slowing down! Trying to catch up a bit here on the forum and certainly wanted to send birthday wishes to this sweet girl!
