Winston is a fairly normal dog after all

Winston, who wouldn't eat a baby bird proved himself to be fairly normal last night.

When we went out for the bedtime pee break last night (I go out with the bedtime visit to make sure they go) Winston found something interesting by the steps to the pool deck. This is common so I didn't pay much attention.

We came in and started to bed. Winston stayed in the den and wouldn't come even when I turned out the lights. I came back to get him and he was stretching his neck across the floor, in the dim light it looked like a seizure. I turned the light on and he kept doing it. I was naturally alarmed and walked up to him. I noticed something under his chin and realized he was rubbing his face on whatever it was. I looked closer and found a 4", sun-dried salamander! He was trying to apply Eau du Dead Amphibian as his sleep aroma!

WELL, you didn't give him a chance to properly dress himself outside, so had to bring it indoors. Could have been worse, so slimely goose poop or worse. He's a good boy, just making himself better.
I laughed out loud at that!
Talking about goose poop, the boys found a new treat. The local cat seems to stay out of our backyard now which robs them of a special treat. They often walk out with me, off leash, to check the mail and recently discover piles of deer poop! When I see them nose to nose down at the ground I know what they found. They both have smiles on their faces like I gave them a real treat. They no longer search for a place to mark when they go out the front, the look for piles of brown M&Ms!
better than kittie krumbles!!
We have dried horse poop on our walk. The dried is ok-Sprocket takes little notice, but the fresh-he loves to have a "good 'ol roll" in it if I don't see it first and yel "NO". He knows he shouldn't but just can't help himself!!xx
