Both on their leads the woman walking the JR asked if I'd mind as she is socialising her sons JR, at first they both approached each other then the JR turned into this snarling ball of death And after about 30 seconds of this with Archie trying and failing mr nice dog he pumped himself up squarely and turned into this ravening beast letting out an almighty snarl I instantly corrected this and apologised to the woman she did like wise but I have never ever witnessed such a scary animal the noise sent shivers down my spine! After that back to Mr Amiable as usual and greeted other dogs as normal. He obviously decided enough is enough |

Good boy Archie! He did what nature told him to do, tell that twit to quit messing with him. Hard to correct that behavior when you know it is warranted, but for safety sake................. |
Just like humans, we don't HAVE to all like each other! And Jacks do tend to be a bit nippy and crazy! |
Good boy, Archie! It's hard to always let the little guy get his pushy way! |
Why did you correct him? That little $@%^@$# of a Jack Russell was being a jerk and needed telling off! Good for you, Archie!! |
Why did I correct him? He was seriously scary, something I have never seen and it was seriously quite frightening, something in me just reacted and kicked in, when I say corrected him all I did was "Archie NO" and a quick snap aside on his lead, the the wolf in him vanished and he was looking at me raising his paw. In the moment I just had an image of the JR head vanishing inside Archie's mouth! Could you imagine the repercussions should he have gone further? Proud of him but also educated as to what a pissed off OES can look like! |
Summer was socialised as a puppy and never reacts to any snarling dog, just sort of "what the heck?" but show her an Akita and her whole body tenses, she is alert and you can almost feel her hackles rising! As my husband says you can never trust/know any dog 100%.....xx |
