SHEEPDOG SHINDIG 2013--THANK YOU!
 THANK YOU!!! THANK YOU!!!! THANK YOU!!!! Thanks to all of you for all your support of the Sheepdog Shindig 2013. In spite of a few little hiccups along the way, I think are first Canadian Shindig was hugely successful not only for all the dogs that attended but for all their human caretakers as well.  We are more than happy to report that $4335.48 was raised to support Old English Sheepdogs in rescue!!!! As the money is being disbursed, I will be posting an accounting of how it is used. Hopefully we can help as many dogs as possible. Thank you again!!!!  |

| Here's the activities that were offered: Friday Beer and wine tasting Dinner "Toonie for Tails" (a "pageant" for all the dogs to participate in. Everyone got to vote for the dog with the best wiggle, cutest nose, best dressed etc. Saturday Grooming session Leash-free park Tour of the hosting town, Niagara-on-the-Lake, a very picturesque little town filled with lots of history. Farm for instinct herding testing, Canine Good Neighbour testing, agility demonstrations, pet first aid course, Murphy's kissing booth and then of course the auction where all proceeds went to rescue. Sunday Grooming session Visit to Niagara Falls Lunch with Shindig Sam Wine tasting Farewell Dinner I think that was it...well except for all the shenanigans that went on in the evening!  |
