Only 89 days until the 3rd Annual Dayton Sheep-In!!!
Saturday, September 28, 2013 is the day!!!! Keeping with our tradition, we’ll be holding our ultra low-key Sheepie social gathering in Tipp City, OH, at Thomas B. Kyle Park, (it’s just south of the center of town on South 1st St.), where the dog park is way in the back. We’ll plan on meeting around 9AM. This year’s Mum Festival theme is called ‘How the West was Mummed’. Dress accordingly if you like! The Mum Festival is scheduled for September 27-29. Our Event will be on the 28th. Also keeping with tradition, we’ll spend the morning romping in the dog park and then invade the Festival at City Park. They have dozens of street venders selling some pretty nice crafty kind of items, many locally hand-made too. However, this makes for the third year that the La Quinta Inn in Tipp City will be our host hotel. I was once again able to secure a discounted rate and again they're gonna hold a block of 10 rooms for a discount. If you call the number below and tell them that you want a room for the Dayton Sheep-In, you'll get an $87 room $77, but you MUST call before Sept.5th to get this rate!!! Of course the daughter of a very good friend is getting married that same Saturday!!! ( The reception should be a fun time though. Almost as much fun as a herd of sheepdogs) but I was so looking forward to coming. Next year?  |
