sheepieshake wrote: Dawn and Chewie left OK yesterday evening....should be home soon....bet they both are exhausted, Really? This is Dawn we're talking about here She'll probably come home, wash and groom both Bond and Chewie, do some training, do a class at PAWS, do a therapy visit, do 6 hours of chores around the farm, post some pictures, THEN go to bed! So my contribution for Dawn will have to be... INEXHAUSTIBLE!! |
David...you have made a GREAT point!!!! And I totally agree with your one word description.... |
TOUCHING!!! I am so amazed at the wonderful things that you and Chewie do Dawn!!! What a wonderful, warm hearted person you are and you have an incredible "canine" family! |
AWE-INSPIRING. I'm so amazed at everything you and Chewie do. You are an amazing team. Lisa Frankie and Mattie |
Hard to come up with one that hasn't been used. I like inspiration but I had to think of one that hasn't been said yet and that is Paladin. I cheated and used a dictionary. Welcome home! |
THANK YOU!!!! We got home after 9pm on Tuesday...and then had to work 7am to 7pm yesterday. I have today off...and I got up at 6 and let the dogs potty, then went back to bed and slept until 9am! It felt great to sleep in, in my own bed. I have class to teach tonight, then a 3 day dog show over the weekend. Our Twin Cities OES Club's specialty is Friday (tomorrow) and I have Chewie entered in rally for RAE legs. He normally loves it, so we will see how re-grouped he is and if he is ready to do it. Bond is in conformation all 3 days. So I need to bathe Bond's whites yet...oh, and brush him out 1st from his week in Todd's care. I had a wonderful time in OK, and I will make a detailed post with photos when things calm down...like maybe Monday! It was truly an unforgettable time (our own tornado included), and I am in awe of what these wonderful dogs can do for people suffering in a disaster. |
Dawn, you and Chewie are 0]PHENOMINAL HUMANITARIANS!!! And I am dumbstruck. Good luck this weekend in Jordan. Be grateful I won't be there. Otherwise I would sneak Chewie and Bond home with me. Nancy |
to you and chewy |
Hip hip hoo rah!! You are both amazing! |
OK guys, I FINALLY got a post together (with some pics) of our experience in Moore, OK. I placed it in the Members section, because of the nature of the circumstances, and the human impact in this disaster. |
