Hi, I haven't neutered, but I have spayed, . . . I do not know if it was the individual cases, or the laser. First (no laser) - elizabethan collar required after she tore out the stitches - constant torment and whining. Second (laser) - no collar required, no whining, 10 days of reduced activity (she tried to run on the day of her surgery, when we got home). I have to spay a new girl (after she is out of heat + time) . . . I have already paid for the laser surgery. |
I had SugarKube "lazer" spayed. She came through it Great......but, now we have a "leakage" problem!!!! Not due to Lazer, I'm told??????? Not sure why we have this problem...is it a OES thing??? |

This occurs at times if they are spayed on the younger side, before their organs are fully developed & in the final, correct place. |
I would spend the extra. Our vet uses radio wave - they are "cooler" even than the laser and gives less tissue damage and irritation then the laser surgery. I've had surgeries done on our own dogs and several foster dogs...and never have to use a cone. Another point - see if they use skin glue instead of sutures on the outer layer. That is less of an irritant as well. Between the radio wave surgery and skin glue....my vet rocks!!! |
Thanks for the responses. I'm going to go ahead with the laser. |
