Shindig Sam Made it Home to Tennessee!
 Sam had a wonderful trip home, thanks to his Auntie Karen (sheepiezone).  She kept me updated with pics and videos. Sam loves car rides.  He watched until he couldn't hold his eyes open any longer.   Thanks to construction  (and a few extra potty stops) they got into TN pretty late last night. We got back to our house a little before 2am.  Of course, since he slept in the car most of the way, he was ready to play at that point.  He got a little (who are we kidding) attention while we got ready for bed. Then into the crate for bedtime. We used the travel crate Amber sent with him placed next to our bed. We learned quickly that, along with that sweet face, Sam has some pretty strong lungs. He finally calmed down and slept for about an hour and a half. I think I slept about an hour.  (My DH, Chris, slept through most of the noise.) Then outside for another potty trip. Lather, rinse, repeat. You get the picture. One more short nap, and he was up again. By 4:45, we were both wide awake and hanging out in the kitchen. Cuddle now, work on normal routine later.  He's found a favorite toy.    He absolutely LOVES tummy rubs!  Then, just as I had passed the point of no return (to sleep)...  He hated the smaller crate last night. Look who wondered into the larger crate and decided to nap all by himself. Guess where he's sleeping tonight? (Don't worry, I have one for the bedroom too.)  Hope you enjoyed the pics! I am enjoying a break while my 16 year old has puppy duty for a while.  |

He is awesome! He looks very content to be home too. And love his toy - its as big as him! Take lots and lots of pictures. They grow so fast and then you pine for their puppyhood back. Welcome Home Sam!  |

That doesn't look anything at all like your puppy! Sam looks like this: He does look an awful lot like my new puppy, where did you get him from? Did you get him from a shady late-night deal in some parking lot somehwere? Did the people you get him from look like this?  Because if so, you just bought my stolen puppy from these awful puppy-nappers! |

| Last night went much smoother! We put the large crate in our bedroom. He only woke me up twice to go potty. Both times he settled right back down to sleep without any fussing. Then, even better, he let me sleep until 7!!! Thought I'd post a couple more pics. He's just too cute not to share...in pictures, David, don't get any ideas!  (Sorry for the sideways pics. I uploaded from my phone. I'll have to remember to flip them next time.  ) Good morning, Mommy.   Baby bum shot! |
