Summer will come. Remember this is August. Here it is black and blue, black nights, cloudless blue day skies........high 90 thru holiday. Actually could be a lot hotter, so perfect. Nights are low 50's........still need my blankies. As long as the wind doesn't blow, I'm thrilled. I hate to close windows, but must when windy or else we'd be living in a sand box....inside. |
Diane- wait till thursday- it'll feel like summer then! At my house I always remark how we wish for whatever weather we aren't having at the moment... I can tell you, I will be miserable when it hits 90 this week, especially if it's humid. Shellie |
Yeah, big turn around coming..........for y'all. |
I remember when I lived in Michigan, if Memorial Weekend wasn't warm it was a huge disappointment. Memorial weekend began Summer for us there. When I was a Kid, we always spent the weekend putting in the family garden, which was pretty big. We also used to go to the big Saint Clair Shores Parade down Harper Ave. As teenagers, we considered the parade the beginning of our "tans". lol meaning we usually got sunburned. lol Chuck/I put in an above ground pool last weekend and I was so hoping to get in it soon, but we had rain off and on the for first 3 days of the week, the last 2 days I was too busy and the water was a bit chilly. So finally swam yesterday..it was great. I have a little sunburn and the joints a bit sore yesterday, but will be back in the water today. I hope you northern folks warm up soon, you deserve a break, you've had enough Winter and you're ready to skip Spring as well, at least that is what my northern relative and friends tell me. Good luck! |
Things haven't changed in Michigan. We have had frost three days in a row. Happy Memorial day to all. |

Just saw on CNN that parts of the Adirondack mountains in northern New York had TWO FEET of snow. Stowe, Vermont had upwards of a foot. Crazy weather for sure. |
Nice today but chilly. I actually prefer today's weather than the heat and humidty in mid summer. Maybe Florida is not the right place for me to look to retire |
