Yes, but not as noticeable with all their coloring, especially if over a grey skin area. Swollen, pinkish then a bit off colored as it heals. If it gets swollen to where you think, uh oh and red, back to vet ASAP. Normally dogs heal quite well, just keep them quiet and their tongues away from the stitches. Keep the area clean but don't fuss over it. I didn't put goo, antibiotic cream as I figured air and time were the best......and always was. |
So far so good. Both sites look nice and clean. He seems comfy - although on some meds that make him sleepy. No licking and no scratching of either area so, our healing process is going well. |
