It was very cold last night & this morning. No snow or frost, but cold nonetheless. Temps got down to about 38 degrees. The high was only about 50. And the wind was quite strong, so there was a windchill. |
We're having an AMAZING time! The hotel is nice; close to everything and the rooms are really spacious. They lack certain amenities, but I don't mind thanks to the 2 bedroomand kitchenette layout. Next time I'll bring a hair dryer and coffee maker. The farm where we had everything today was wonderful. Herding instinct testing was amazing to watch and participate in- Tonks and Luna were excellent at it. The trainer suggested we pursue it on a competition level!!!! Then the girls passed their Canine Good Neighbor tests; the Canadian equivalent of CGC. The Agility equipment was set up and left in an area where all the dogs could play, so Tonks and Luna used that after a nap in the car. Then the girls fell fast asleep at out seats during the dinner and auction (I won some cool stuff too!). All in all- a really wonderful day!!!! |
Tonks and Luna are having a great time!! What good travelers and participants. I'm sure they are loving the cooler temps. Yeah, hair dryer and coffee pot are essential.....well not hair since I chopped mine all off. Looking forward to everyone's pictures. |
An alarm clock would have been nice, too. Much better day today. We stayed away from the campus and I think the dogs fared much better with regards to ticks. In addition to the farm, we went to downtown Niagara-on-the-Lake, a quaint little town. We walked around the town a bit and then walked down to Lake Ontario where we took a bunch of pics. Tomorrow, it's off to Niagara Falls. That should be fun. Lotsa tourists there. They'll be be swarming the dogs. |
Ticks? Oh no. Can't wait to see photos |
