Dream home features

I found this online today. What really stuck me funny is not so much that I really would like most if not all these features in my dream home, I already have one that's shown... And so do all of you!!!! Not to mention the dog shower in the first photo, but scroll down to #16. A Mini-Beach Fire Pit, (about halfway down) to see what I mean!!!

There we go! :D
A lot of them feature bathtubs in some way. I never understood the appeal of baths. It's like sitting in a puddle. Weeeee! I will take no. 1 though. and no. 27, but indoors please!
hahah.. wasn't expecting that surprise by the pit!!

It makes me depressed to see how some people live. I want all of that please!!! :)
The dog shower would have to be up off the floor a bit so we wouldn't have to bend down so much. Love all the other ideas.

You can tell someone who never bathed a dog designed that shower!!
It would never work - low, wall too low, water everywhere....
I've seen that picture before, and amazed that design gets passed around.... :?
Here we go

Those are like the ones I use at The Paw...but backwards!

And I don't have to buy them...I get a great employee discount price, just $5 per dog. I just bring shampoo, etc. They have towels and you can just barely see the 2 sets of 2 dryers - tandem mounted for blasting!
:aww: :aww: :cheer: :cheer: :cheer: :cheer: :cheer: :aww: :aww:

Chewie is next to the underwater treadmill too, the pool is in this area also, it's the rehab area.

Ok, now how is it possible that The Paw is NOT a wildly successful international chain????? People spend billions on their dogs! How is it just tucked away in some corner of Minnesota which can't decide whether it's summer or winter?

LOL...lucky me!!!

I had Bond and Chewie in for baths last Monday - they lost money big time on Bond. It was his first full body bath since last summer (love this dog's coat!)...and I was quite awhile just wetting him all down and soaking and rinsing and drying.....
I did lab Biscuit and coonhound Maggie a couple weeks ago. I spent lots of time scrubbing them, trying to start their winter coat shedding. But I guess THEY knew more then us - that we still had a couple good snow storms left! :phew:
$5 employee dog baths are definitely one of my best perks for having my training classes there! :go:
# 26!!!
all it takes is money.............

I'm kinda with Dave, don't care for bathtubs but am wild about pools, bigger the better.

Yeah, the doggie shower is impractical and my back hurts just looking at it.

Brother had the mega skylight....it was lovely. Would love one here to let hot air out of house in evenings.

Years before the beer and wine dispensers........oh what a dream!
I don't know. I look thru that and I don't see anything I would want.
Nothing in there was very man cave-y.

Show me a large garage, with lifts, a spray booth, attached machine shop, and display area, then I'll start to drool.
Mark, I already have all that drawn up in AutoCAD for when I hit the lottery. There is also a complete adjoining wood shop 8) The footprint is in the neighborhood of 100X150 for the main building... Maybe I should have posted that.

Please do. I like looking at dream garages/workspaces.
Mark - I have two in the works. One is what I call the 'small barn' and the other is the 'BIG barn'. Here is a photo of the 'small barn'. It's actually about 8 miles from my house and I saw it and love the look. I’ve never been inside it so I don’t know how or if it’s sectioned off inside. I scaled the photo in AutoCAD and from what I can see, the footprint is about 62'x32' for the main floor. Pretty nice but not big enough for me and all I want out of a building like this.

The ‘BIG barn’ I’m working on is a more traditional barn shape. I grew up in Iowa and I kinda think that to be called a barn; the building must have a certain look, (incidentally, Dawn’s barn NAILS it!!!). And if it’s not red, it shouldn’t be called a barn. Period.

The design that I’m currently working on is a spin on this traditional look. The main floor is about a 60’x60’ area with rooms on the left and right. As I get further along in the design and something that I’m more likely to stick with, I’ll post something on it.I know that the area originally set aside for woodworking isn't near big enough for me. Keep in mind that this barn will need to sustain all my interests which are cars, woodworking and our dogs. While I won’t have anything kennel related in this building now, I wouldn’t mind being able to use the main floor for dog-related things; training, hosting gatherings and such. I suspect that if I ever get to where this building becomes reality, I’ll just go crazy and have the ultimate multi-function building so it won’t really matter. But that’s ‘pipe dream’ level there, isn’t it?

Jim will take the yard beer dispenser wall (as long as it is in a shaded area near our pool). Me.....I want the dedicated shoe closet!!!!!!!! :excited:
Jen has also put the shoe closet on her short list!
