This forum is full of members who are so kind, friendly, and quick to offer tips and help. I want to brag on one member in particular...Karen Ford (sheepiezone). Our little Sam is due to come home to us in just under 3 weeks from Amber at Blueshire (another awesome member). We already had a plan in place for her to fly him to Atlanta for us to pick up. Amber found out the airline had changed their routes and no longer had any direct flights. That's where Karen comes in. Karen, who recommended Amber to us in the first place, is attending the Sheepdog Shindig. She lives about 30 minutes from me, and volunteered to bring Sam home to us! Now his transition will be much more pleasant since he will have a wonderful caretaker and some sheepie company on the trip home. Of course, now all I have to worry about is her wanting to keep him. Thank you, thank you, thank you Karen! You ROCK! |

I am a very highly skilled and experienced Puppy Squisher and I can assure you that your little Sam will arrive very, very squished. |

Uh oh...David keep a close eye on Kim. Make SURE that you have only THREE when you leave! |
Exactly what I was thinking......puppy could get misplaced..... |
Thankfully, I'm pretty sure Amber and Karen will be on their guard. |

"Oops, Mady must have jumped into the wrong car! We'll come and get her right away. Excuse me? Puppy? What puppy? No, we didn't see any extra puppy!" |
pffffffffft! I'll just replace Sam with this, no one will be the wiser! |

Murphy will start teaching Sam the potty training routine on the trip home and just general instructions on how to be a fantastic, adorable sheepdog. Knowing Karen, Sam will be properly snuggled on the trip home. Knowing David, Sam will have been thoroughly squished before heading home. Knowing me, Sam might just end up in my car and coming back to Ottawa. |

Thank you, thank you, thank you Karen! You ROCK! Awwww thank you Teresa! It will be my pleasure to provide baby Sam 'Private Transportation' to his new home! That sweet little guy shouldn't have to take 'Public' transportation especially to arrive at the Atlanta Airport--it is such a busy airport! His limo awaits! Actually when you messaged me that he had been born--I did the mental calculation and thought he would be ready to come home right after the Shindig and it crossed my mind that I should offer to bring him home--and I had been thinking about it the day before Amber contacted me! Amber did run into some of the same issues with flights last year when Murphy came home, but we got lucky and finally found a way to get him to Nashville on a direct flight. Murphy and I will get to puppy snuggle with him and enjoy the puppy breath all the way home after David gets through squishing him--and we wrestle him away from Kim But you really should know that I fall in love quickly and if I remember...possession is 90 percent.... Baba wrote: pffffffffft! I'll just replace Sam with this, no one will be the wiser! LOL David--I will need to keep my glasses handy so I can make sure the puppy I put in the car looks more like this: Oh my... I really might not be able to part with him! |
Oh Karen, that puppy picture!! |
Mady wrote: Oh Karen, that puppy picture!! I know Kim--that was his first day here! I was already so totally in love with him--he had me --and and from that morning on... he has not had a single problem training me to do just exactly what he wants me to do! |
Will we get to meet Sam at the Shindig? |

Theresa's conversation with Amber after "Sam" comes home: "Yeah, hi Amber. Sam came home yesterday. He seems to be not very animated though." |

How nice for Everyone but especially Karen and David, sweet puppy paws and breath. It will be the slowest return drive ever. This calls for a group photo with "our" Sam at the shindig!!!!! |
It's sounding like I need mugshots, um, I mean pictures of everyone at the Shindig! |
I'm ok, just so long as I get proper snuggles at the Shindig. I'm aiming for #3 to be a golden. |
