MacArthur The General, Son of Higgins
Mac, our third OES, is now running free. He was the son of Ch Raffles' Just Ewe Wait (Higgins) & Forever Hi Hope of Rolling Gates. Born in Pawling, NY. What a very special dog he was. After almost a year and a half of a slow decline related to his spinal column, we allowed Mac to finally give up because he still kept fighting for us. He had such a strong heart. As a family, we tried to do anything and everything we could to keep him going during his tough battle of losing his mobility and incontinence. After watching him for the past three days slowly let go, while some of our family members not even leaving his side for a minute, we made the decision because he would have still kept fighting for us. We are so happy you are pain free now. From the moment you came home in 2002 we knew you were special.. Besides being handsome, and strong, you were our protector. You loved everyone, and smiled often. Everyone that met you loved you, and knew you were special. Mac, you will be so missed, but importantly we are blessed because we have great memories of you. You made our lives better and happier. You will never be replaced, or forgotten. We love you.    His 10th Birthday:  |
