Oh no.. I'm sorry to hear that! I worry about him now that he is older. I hope he starts eating again. Get better Max!! |
When they go off their tucker, stop all feeding!! Tummy and intestines needs time to settle down. 24 hours is quite enough. Then start back with bland....I often start back with plain broth. Continue to watch.........blockage maybe or some UFO unidentified "food" object causing problems. No, I get mixed messages about Pepto........some say yes, some day no. Just give it time.......and watch. He won't starve and will let you know when he's ready to eat again. |
I give pepto if anyone gets diarreah, even very young pups, and it works well but I don't know about for vomiting? Did he just vomit once? |

Poor Max. I hope he is feeling better. Oscar takes Pepcid AC (40 mg) every day, and has since he was puppy. It helps reduce the acidity of his tummy from his IBD. I have tried to add probiotics, and wean him off the Pepcid, but we always end up with a digestive upset. I have just resigned myself to giving it to him for the rest of his life. Laurie and Oscar |
hugs to Max--hope he is feeling better. |
Feel better soon Max. Cindy |
