Our share includes a gallon a week, and some weeks we drink it so fast we run out. Other weeks we have leftover - sometimes as much as a full half-gallon. I've been trying to decide what to do on those weeks we have leftover, especially since the amount is unpredictable. Then I realized I can get 3 delicious things from the same leftover milk! And that frees up my fridge for my new, fresh gallon from the farm. Now on Thursdays I skim the cream and make butter (I only get about 2 Tbl, but boy, is it delicious), save the buttermilk (hmmm, pancakes? Miami Beach Birthday Cake?), and make the milk into yogurt. I had forgotten just how easy it is to make yogurt! Snack time has gotten quite delicious! |

Don't forget kefir. Jack adored it. (well heck, there was nothing he didn't adore) All dogs loved it. |
