3,241 miles in the RV and an additional 1,056 in the car for a total of almost 4,300 miles in 3 weeks! The boys did great! Winston developed diarrhea day before yesterday but didn't have a single accident inside! I think he may have eaten something too large to pass so off to the vet tomorrow. When we got home the boys knew where they were before we stopped; they bounded out of the RV and bounced up to the house. Ran through every room in the house then covered all of their backyard. I think they were more thrilled to be home than we were! We are planning Adventure #4 already! |

Awesome! Where did you go this trip? Cindy |
We went from Texas across New Mexico, Colorado and Utah to Idaho. Then a side trip over Oregon to Washington. Came back by way of Wyoming and Colorado and passed thru New Mexico again. 8 states. |
That's a HUGE trip!! So, where is trip 4 going?? |
Wow. That's alot of states in three weeks! I want an RV so bad. it sounds like such fun. Plus you get to take the dogs with you. In thinking, could Winston have gotten the diarrear from drinking different water? Hope nothing serious. |
Trip 4 will be a quicky to Lake Texoma to make sure our grandson likes it as much as he thinks before he commits to an RV trip back to Idaho in June. The next will be to western Oklahoma to visit my sister then across the state to Hot Springs. After that it is back to Boise to be with grandkids. |
You guys know how to live! I am soo jealous! What size RV do you have? Pictures? |
I'm jealous. I want to be a stowaway lol |
Diane, We have a 38' Thor and pull a soccer mom SUV behind it. We have no RV experience, the first time we were ever in an RV underway was when we drove this one off the dealer's lot in February 14. Now we have over 4,000 miles driving it. You can't be in a hurry to get anywhere! Getting there really is part of the fun. |
38' thor The House On Roadway. |
Good boy Winston hope you are feeling better. That sounds like a wonderful trip, eight states! Your summer is underway Are you compiling a memento board, collection of postcards, or a pin map of your adventure destinations? RV life sounds like so much fun |
Your trips sound so fun. I'm glad to hear you're enjoying your great rv. |
Wow! that is quite a motor home! You look so tiny next to it! You mean you never drove an RV and was able to drive this baby with no problem??? I am impressed! Where do you keep it when home? Those dogs of your's are so lucky to be travelling in style like that. Are you retired? I am so envious. Hoping I can talk my husband into one someday! |
Yep, this is even the first RV we were ever in while it was moving. I now have about 4,800 miles RV driving experience! Driving the RV 300 miles is more exhausting than driving our car 500 miles, I got the practical application on the last trip! We are both retired, my wife retired about 7 months ago. We didn't consider an RV until about 2 weeks before we bought this one. We love it! It is not an economical way to travel, at 7 mpg it costs 54 cents/mile just for gas! |
Vance, who cares about economics! I would bet if you had to stay in a hotel every night, with the dogs, and meals for eating, etc, even with the low gas mileage you come out ahead this way! Plus, nothing like seeing the country in an RV...I want one...I want one.... |
You won't regret it! |
