Innova rates around 116 using the rating chart that got circulated a while ago (http://www.oes.org/page2/9674~Grade_Your_Dog_Food.html), and Benson does really well on it. Merrick also rates very high, and we'll probably give that a try in the short term, since we can get it locally. I was wondering if folks thought Timberwolf Organics was worth the extra cost? I'd have to order it online and have it delivered (the nearest retail store is almost 200 miles away). Since Benson doesn't have any digestive or allergy problems, I'm thinking Timberwolf might be a bigger expense than I could really justify. Any thoughts? |

I feel if your dog does good on a food, stick with it. I didn't know Innova got recalled? I don't know much about Timberwolf but my dogs do very well on Orijen. Never been recalled. We started my first dog on Orijen after the big recalls in 2007. He was just a pup then and had been eating one of the recalled foods. Was sick all the time. Then the recalls came out and we went through a few different foods and settled on Orijen because he did great on it. Now, six years later, we have his sister and she is on the food too. No problems. And never recalled. We sue the six fresh fish variety and have it delivered to us. It has been a Godsend to us. Whatever food you switch too, make the switch very slowly. |
