My new puppy, Mungo, gets hiccups quite frequently! They don't happen directly after he's eaten and once he even started while he was asleep. Any thoughts on this? He's only 9 1/2 weeks. Thanks!! L |

Here he is. |
Another one to steal |
Ok now that is a cute puppy! I love his little ears With the hiccups im not sure. Bloo used to get them as a puppy but hasn't had them for a while. Im sure someone on here will be able to help |
Look at the tongue, he is precious. |
He is just adorable. And don't worry about the hiccups. All of ours did it as puppies and grew out of it. Enjoy your lovely baby. Debs x |
Hiccups very common in pups. Things are changing quickly inside and there's a bit of confusion in nerves, etc. It's part of the puppy experience. Adorable |
Yep as mentioned - it's a puppy thing. They outgrow it. |
Thank you all! It's good to know I don't need to worry about it. Laura (and Mungo) |
Good thing you are in Canada or I would be on my way to steal that precious little baby Both my dogs got hiccups as pups. As adults they haven't gotten them in years...If you think he is eating too quickly, they sell a special bowl to help them slow down. Also, we fed our pups small amounts three times a day instead of one large meal. Even now, at age 7 and 5 years, we feed twice a day instead of one big meal...and we keep water in the bowl at all times, but just not a super large bowl. |
I forgot all about puppy hiccups until you posted! My girls used to get them when they were very small. And your photo is adorable! |
Sprocket still gets them sometimes-he looks funny-he sits and looks at me as if to say "what's happening mum?". It is a shame the pups have to grow up-you forget so quick what the babbies are like-so cute and you just want to hug them!!x |
I miss puppy hiccups Anyone want to trade Mady or Virginia for a little puppy? |
