I'm sure the vet mentioned the ears may be an indication of food allergies......maybe too much grain or a specific grain? If Jaxs is also a bit too "fluffy" he might do better with a different food. Otherwise, wishing the guy clean and happy ears in the near future. |
Yes. Doc did mention that and coincedentally we did just swtich his food about 2 weeks ago therefore the problem. Thank you. |
Poor Jaxson. Ear infections are no fun. Unfortunately I think this breed is prone to them. We are vigilant with ears. Clean once a week and after each grooming throw a few drops in and use some corn starch along the inner flaps. Hope he feels better soon. Is he chunky or just a big boy? My boy is 108 but he is big boned and doesn't look fat. My gal is 80 pounds and looks like a little chubber! of course, one hair cut and she is thin again. Wish I could say the same for myself! LOL! |
Just "tweezed" Sprocket's ears for him-they had got a bit fluffed up-he lets me know by rubbing ears on my knee. He sits there is a vey strange look on his face as I gently clean and tweezer pull out a couple heairs to clear airways-he goes into a trance! So far no nasty infections prevention easier than cure if possible.x |
Ashley, he is not chubby at all. Just a big boy with itchy ears.lol. Thanks for the tips. |
He is huge Scott!!! You should bring him to Somerville to beat up my pups. |
Jaxson is just under height and retaining fluids |
