Earning a paycheck!
 He got chosen to be a dog model for a Target Store ad, featuring a vacuum. (Target is a large department store chain here in the US). He was chosen by the Target people, from all the other dogs who have portfolios with his 'agent' for this shoot. I hear it is being used in the Target stores, on the product displays or end caps! Target uses lots of dogs in their advertising, and their corporate offices are here in Minneapolis, MN.  I'm at work all weekend, darn 12 hour shifts...but I hope to get in to our local Target and see if they have it up here too!  Here is what the ad looks like:  |

| Congrats to you and Chewie! It seems so right that Chewie would be advertixing Vacuums, I can't think of another breed who loves vacuums as much as the sheepie. Love the shot. I hope they give you a full ad poster for your collection... |
| Wow, I never knew Target stores were so widespread. With it being a local (Minnesota) based company, I only knew we have them everywhere around here! I checked with our store in Mankato - and they don't have it up yet.  But, I talked to a real nice young man who was so excited a local dog is featured, and he's going to be looking for it. And even better, he gave me the name and title ("signing") of the person who does all the display artwork. I talked to her this morning. She also was excited, and is going to check on it and get back to me. She also offered me the artwork when they are done with it. Waiting...waiting....  |
| Even here in NM we have Targets.......a new one just opened with parking underground! Infilling within the city instead of rushing to the margins means less space for huge parking lot. I was shopping Target in Denver in 196-ahem. Haven't been in one in a couple of years as not on my travel circle. |

But wasn't aware of it being in Canada and Australia. |

| Way to go, Chewie! I checked at our Target tonight and didn't see it. They do have a pic up in the pet section of a sheepie with a little boy. Is that one of our forum members? |

| SO COOOL! Chewie is our latest celebrity! Now I need to go to target here in Stafford and talk to the manager to see if I can have the addd after they are done with it!! Would be great on the wall in my grooming room. |

And this one from one of my basset rescue friends: Chewie is kind of an honorable member of our basset group - Basset Buddies Rescue. Todd and I were over in WI at our groups biggest annual fundraiser, when we got Chewie. So they all got to meet him when he was just a little black and white baby OES. Then each year when we went back to it, he and Simon (and then Harley) all came with. Chewie hung out with the family (at Kristine's) when the actual event was on, but because we went out early and helped with setup - he got to play with all the bassets then. They have followed him just like he is one of the hounds! |
