There certainly seem to be an over abundance of rescue sheepdogs in the southeast  ...so you shouldn't have trouble finding one to add to your family. I would contact the rescues in the southweast, fill out an application and get on their lists. Approved adopters with all their references and vet checks done go to the top of the list.
