Exhausted

I take my dogs to the same groomer every four weeks. And every time, they come exhausted! First, they come in and run around to check that all their "stuff" is still in the same place...then they drink out of all the water bowls...then they drop into their beds and sleep away the afternoon...what's up with that? As if they just ran a marathon!

Come in Diane... Everyone knows it wears a Sheepie down looking that cute and adorable!! I groom my own here at the house and they both do the same thing. 'Course, my routine after grooming is VERY similar!!!

I groom Leonard with a full bath and blow dry about every 4 weeks and for some reason sitting there getting pampered will knock him out for the whole day. Saturday was grooming day in the morning and we had people over in the evening and instead of pestering the guests he put his head in their laps and napped. I am usually ready for a nap or trip to the spa myself after hours of fussing and brushing. But instead of relaxing I get to clean up the bathroom and sweep the whole house to get rid of post bath fluff balls :)

If you ask me it is totally worth the effort. If you ask Leonard if he wants a bath he gets really excited and if I am blow drying my own hair he will lean against me and wait for his turn. I think it must really relax them.
