I've been MIA since .... October? My youngest daughter, who is 10, was diagnosed with Anorexia Nervosa, and was extremely sick. We have just returned to New Mexico after a (so far) successful round of treatment in Denver, CO. I spent three months living in Denver while she was in inpatient care, and then residential, and finally intensive outpatient. Ava and Lacy have both been doing well - they've gotten so big, and so... hairy! My three months in Denver were not kind to their coats, so I'm probably going to have to shave them down. My husband brushed them, but there is only so much you can do with you're caring for the other three kids, working full time, and keeping house. So yeah, I'm back, missed you guys! |

welcome back i have been following your story very close to my heart glad she is getting better |
I also wanted to say that at Christmas time, when we were at our lowest point, all of the sheepdog Christmas Cards came in - and they all have a home in my daughters recovery journal. It was one of the very few things at that point in treatment that made her happy. We spent hours going through the cards, and talking about each dog. |
Welcome back |
It must be lovely to have the whole gang together again. Best wishes for her continued good health and happiness! |
I'm glad the Christmas cards provided some happiness during a difficult time. Hope her continued road to recovery is smooth. |
Welcome back!!! Good luck to Abby on her continued recovery, and her hand boo-boo. I'm sure you are all glad to be back together in your new home and can get on with all the boring yet special things of day to day life. And looking forward to seeing the 4 legged girls and their new 'do's! A fresh start is NOT a bad thing |
Hope things are going better. Welcome back! |
Welcome back! I know you must be so glad to be back home! Hope your daughter continues to improve and enjoys home!! |
Welcome back and I hope your daughter is doing much better. |
Your 10 year old daughter suffered from anorexia nervosa? I just need a moment to be furious with contemporary media-soaked culture for putting such unnatural pressure on such a young child Ok, I hope continued recovery goes well. |
