| I know there is a crufts you tube page but it not streamed live. Even here we only get the highlights on a sunday. The grooming competition is just one class for the young kennel club, which theres all sorys going on all day from handaling to agility |

| Mom and I will be there with Lincoln and Tia and as Parwaz states we will be on the floor grooming Where abouts are you staying? Mom and I always stay at the Hilton, I dont do mornings! So it means that I can get up slowly with as much coffee as possible before the madness begins. Not sure if you know but judging starts at 10am rather than the usual 9am - I think its due to the public getting in quite late and then finding that most of the judging has been completed as the entries for the breeds arent there anymore! Oh Sam, please make up with your parents as you have been planning for Sunday for so long. I am sure all will be forgiven. Looking forward to seeing you, however, briefly, as time just flies at Crufts. Good luck to all who are going... |

Bloo(four witches chippewa) came 5th in yearling dog if you look in the members only section theres a video of me amd bloo and a few other links in the thread. | My daughters grooming comp was a farce. It was like she wasnt entered. 3 weeks before crufts we had no paper work through so I contacted them. Aparently the pet care trust who ran the competition which she qualified in did not submit the results to the young kennel club. But ass they knew thus you would of thought they would of sorted it out but hey. The ykc then sent out paperwork but for the wrong person so contacted them again, they said the would email it, no email. So I phoned again and they said just turn up it will be ok. Everyone had tables provided but imogen, As her name wasnt on the list, luckily we had taken one. After half an hour of waiting around they gave her a number and allowed her to enter the ring and set up. Through out the competition they read out about all the competitors, age where there from etc nothing for imogen, they could of gone and talked to her. After the competition once again she wasnt allowed back in the ring because still her name wasnt down. In each class there was 6 places imogen was in a class 12-18 year olds she wasnt even placed, It was like she wasnt there! I spoke to Colin taylor and he suggested to get a critque from the judge and told us where to find her and kitty the judge was great, she couldnt understand why imogen was not placed so went to the ykc to discuss it, on her records she did not have imogens name or number, she got imogen a 5th place and told us to complain to the ykc but leave it a couple of weeks which I did, And as yet they havent replied. Its so unfair to do this to a child, and it was imogen that was determined to find out why she didnt get placed, now she doesnt see the point of competing again. One good thing happened, we bought some scissors from colin taylor, a world renowned groomer who has just launched his book and range of scissors. When imogen was in primary school she did a biography on him after he judged her in a comp, I got in touch with him as he was at crufts and we met up the night before, he gave imogen some tips and I bought s cissors. So in trying to get imogen interested in grooming again his coming to my salon soon to give her a lesson So sorry I didnt get to find you all I found sam and bloo. Well done to all who went x |
