You can access a great deal of the photos through Google's link - http://images.google.com/hosted/life You can also see photos through LIFE'S own search page - http://life.time.com/ Here is the only listing for Westminster and it's from 1954 - http://life.time.com/culture/westminster-dog-show-photos-of-champs-and-also-rans-1950s-and-1960s/#1 Next time you need to kill an hour, just start rambling through this archive - it's amazing what you'll find. | Thanks Vance. I love looking at all those old pictures of America. Really tells a story. I remember seeing a portfolio of pictures from the '40s. It was a tribute to Kodak Kodachrome film, the first color film to be released (I think?). A lot of those pics were from the midwest, which was still devasted from the depression. Very moving. |
