http://www.peteducation.com Marianne and the boys There's also another site I found that seems very helpful but I couldn't get it to work for me..but might be my ancient computer. It offers free tv shows on dog training. http://www.bananatv.com |

Thanks Marianne . Great site to go to and get more info, I'm sure I'll be going to it on a daily basis.
How are things on the west coast? Are you allowed to take dogs on the ferry to Naniamo and/or anywhere else on the island? Uncle Pete |
Hi Uncle Pete,
I have taken my dogs aprox 6 times on the Ferries, all the dogs at one time or another.BC Ferries are awesome regarding dogs. While they are not allowed on the bridge deck unfortunately but must stay below the car deck. They allow you to stay with them if necessary and will even knock on your window and ask if you need a bucket of water for your dog. This is in regards to Vancouver to Naniamo, If you go to the smaller Islands from there such as Gabriola they are allowed on the deck. (There's even a photo of Merlin and I in the Puppy pics that shows us together on the Ferry deck.) They provide food and treats at every ticket booth for the dogs and seems as if every employee has some in their pocket. You can pm me for more info and let me know when you plan on making this trip. Ohhhhhh that's awesome! I have it bookmarked. I love looking up random things about dogs when I'm bored, but was running out of sites to amuse me. |
Hi Marianne ,
Thanks for the info about the ferries. I'm not sure when but I would love to go back there for a visit. Love everything about BC, the valleys, mountains, lakes - I even had a cabin to escape to in Fairmont (east Kooteneys) while I was living in Banff. Renting a motorhome to cruise around the island and going scuba diving would be a dream holiday (now where did put that lottery ticket!!) Uncle Pete |
