Giz is a personal chew toy of the poo eating pup! HELP!!!!!

OMG - Can you folks give some advice on Bailey - He is eating his pooooooo I know I have had issues with him with the poo thing. But about a week gone DH said he was worried about Giz because he didn;t see any poo in the yard. Well now I cought Bailey eating his own pooooo Yuk and he licks Jessica our baby grand daughter!!!!!

The other thing is we are having issues with his treatmment of Gizzy. He was sucking his ears and so I had to put Anti - Chew on them because they were getting sore. ( Had to remind Bailey that Gizzy is not his personal chew toy!) Well we were away for less than 48hours over to the mainland and my DD was caring for the dogs. When I got home I was stunned to find that our Gizzy is near bold down each side>???? Bailey was sucking his fur out. Now Giz has sore spots and a very dry skin on the Sucked bits. I put anti chew all over him but Bailey wont get the message. Gizzy turned on him and snapped at him as he quite rightly has had enough of being a chew toy! Bailey has LOTS of toys and flanky to chew! Also if I give them treats or a bone they fight - So I stopped doing that.

Oes - I hate any aggression in the dogs.

I'm sorry for all the problems...

personally when there is a poo eating problem which is common... I am either right there when they go to say NOOOO LEAVE IT....... or I pick it up immediately after they go. That solves the problem quickly!

For some reason when I had two..they liked to suck that ear foreverrrrrrrr too. I would crate them if you can't be there when they're together so the problem doesn't get worse (the skin being irritated). With almost everything, if they're told enough times and broken up each and every time... it'll slowly become known and stop in my experience. I know it's hard work to be there 24-7 but it worked for me. :) Good luck!!!
we had the poop eating issue with our first OES. the vet thought his food was too "yummy" even after it became poo and thought that our dog was hungry and that is why he ate his poo. We then fed him 3 times a day and switched to a different food. I really think it was anxiety that made him do this. He would eat his poo, then vomit it, then eat it again. When my husband was away for work for weeks on end it became much worse and we put him on pills to ease his anxiety. It was something he always did right from being a puppy in his crate. We would let him out in the yard and be there with him to pick up the poo but sometimes he would immediately turn around after doing his business and eat it in front of us. The vet had us sprinkle Alum (some kind of spice) so that when he would eat it it would taste bad and maybe he would stop eating it, but no luck.

Good luck! Not sure what to suggest, just letting you know what we were told to do incase it works for you.
Thanks - it is just revolting to witness and then you think OMG the dog is licking the kids and my hands! He just loves to lick Danny our disabled boy and Jess our grand daughter and of course you imediately think YUK!!!!! It has only just started to happen. My sister said I was feeding him too much and too reduce his feed - so I did and he is on adult feed not puppy feed now. The breeder told us to do that. ( I guess they know what is best as they breed show dogs.) Maybe he is just bored because I have been spraying Giz with anti chew all the time! I simply cannot stay with him 24/7 but I did take him on a massively long walk today hoping it will tire him out. He seemed to enjoy it and Giz stayed at home curled up on the sofa with Daddy! I thinkGiz was just relieved to get a break from puppy minding! It is all getting a bit much for the old fellow. THe ear sucking and now what with his fur being litterally sucked off his body the wee man is sore and uncomfortable. You can see it in his face that he is beside himself and doesn;t know why we got the new annoying thing!

Oes
With eating poo you need to go outside with the dog until they are retrained not to eat it. Firm "leave it" and picking it up right away. OR something I couldn't do but the vet recommended is putting hot sauce on the poo
We had the same issue with georgi eating Sherwood poo. I would have to watch them when I let them out and put chilli powder on Sherwood poo a few times and she got the hint and no issues now until two weeks when we get the new pup. You have to watch them a pick it up
