Mitch was on 2 meals a day when he was 6 months old.Dinner and tea time and a few treats before he went to bed (now he won't go to bed without them ) |
We got Barney at 6 months old and that entire time we've fed him twice a day--morning and dinner...We switched him to grownup food about 2 1/2 weeks ago (he was just over 9 months then) mostly because he has really bad hips and we don't want to encourage too much growth or weight gain... |
I love the fact that even English dogs have tea time!!! |
Barney is about 9 months; I'm starting to cut back and with the heat he seems to been wanting less. I'll continue to feed 2 times a day since I'm told its better for large dogs. I'm also starting to switch him from puppy to adult. |
I feed Panda 1 cup at breakfast and 2 cups at dinner...no tea time...but there is always room for a cookie at dessert time |
I tried to put my dogs on a schedule, but it just didn't work, they are nibblers, so although their food bowls are in their crates, the crates are left open and they eat when they want. I just make sure there is always food in their bowls. Dancer eats about 3 cups a day, and Sky eats about 4 cups a day, which is about right for their size. They are both in ideal shape, so I guess it's working |
