I've been reading through posts on the forum for a while now and thought it was about time I introduced myself. My name is Denby and I am from British Columbia, Canada. I have a 5 year old French Bulldog named Stella and I am currently on a waitlist for an Old English Sheepdog puppy due to be born in April. I hope to learn even more about the oes from all the stories and experiences here while I await the arrival of my puppy. Denby |

Welcome from Michigan. |
Welcome from Atlanta, Georgia! A Frenchie and a Sheepie on the way; that just sounds like a million opportunities to post the cutes photos EVER!!! |
Welcome, I'm sort of new too... my first OES was just born a few weeks ago and I'll be getting him the end of April or beginning of May. This forum has been a big help for me already. |
Welcome from WI. |
Be careful! Three years ago I got my first OES and now I have three, they are addictive! I am in Ottawa, too far to visit for a playdate, but please post pictures!! |
Welcome from Illinois! Cindy |
Hello and welcome from West Virginia!! So happy that you posted finally. It seems to be the general way of things. I think many of us lurked awhile too. Congratulations on your April puppy!! These next months will seem so L O N G to wait We will be most anxious to hear all the details. |
Welcome from California from another new person who doesn't have an OES -YET - either!!! |
Welcome Denby from Boston! |
Welcome from Tennessee! I'm waiting on my first OES to be born in April, too! This forum is a great place for answers to all your questions...and ones you don't even know to ask. |
Welcome Denby - from our gang in Minnesota. I get quite the reactions with my basset/OES combo's when out in public - a Frenchie and OES will no doubt trump that! |
Denby and Teresa.....you two have something in common |
I wondered if we might. I have a feeling we will be following each other's OES journeys closely. |
Thank you everyone for the welcome, I am very excited. Teresa- I wondered as well when I read your post in the puppy section, this is great |
Welcome! Having 1 sheepdog is only valid for an initial 12 month probation period, afterwards you have to meet the 3 sheepdog minimum quota. Sheepdog puppies... *sigh* |
Yay! Somebody else from Western Canada! There aren't a lot of sheepdogs around as most breeders are in the East. Our sheepdog flew in from Ontario in July and the flight wasn't hard on him, just another adventure as he was his normal chilled out self even at the airport. I must say it felt like the longest 8 weeks ever but now I can't remember what it was like not to have a large, hairy, happy and enthusiastic shadow! Good luck with the puppy! |
Another welcome from Ottawa, looking forward to pictures. |
Hello and welcome from UK 1st one then before you know it 3 sheepies or 4 |
Hi Denby! I am from just south of Calgary. Where exactly are you? My new puppy is coming near the end of March. It's very exciting. I would have a hundred OES if it was realistic (but it's not!!) Welcome! Laura |
Thanks again for the welcome, I would love to have more than one sheepdog someday but I think for the next couple years at least I will have to make do with 1 sheepdog and 1 frenchie. YooHooLaroo- I live in South Surrey,BC. That's exciting about your puppy, the end of March will be here before you know it |
Welcome from Ohio. I only have 1 but I have been trying to talk my husband into a second one for the last 6 months. You will learn much from all of the people on this forum. They are a great group of animal lovers. Of course we like Sheepies the best. Carley's Mom |
Welcome from Texas. |
You new western Canada folks should head to Calgary in July for the Old English Sheepdog and Owner's Club of Canada national specialty that is being held out west this year. I am so tempted to fly out there for it. I keep watching for seat sales! |
Welcome from Tennessee! |
