He is sleeping now at home. Waiting for his ride home. |

Give him a huge hug from me, please. A gentle one! |
Awww big hugs and kisses to our boy! |
aweee.... I'm just glad it's over. ((hugs)) |
Now look at it! UG! I sent a picture to my vet. Normal?? Anyone else who had an incision lately. |
I will hug him later he is sleeping shhhh... |
Vet said it is normal. Jeesh holy what a freak show I am with the worry. |
We all worry about our babies. Glad he is safe at home and sleeping. Give him a hug from me when he is up for one. |
Glad you got feedback from your vet for peace of mind. Tiggy's incision looked like that too. It's the inflammatory response making the edges swell. Your vet is great. I asked mine not to shave too much. He made a huge incision (he's extra conservative and wanted to make sure there was no spread of the lump) and shaved a huge area. I'm still waiting for it to grow out. This is what it looked like AFTER Madam chewed the stitches. I'm quite cross with her. The area down the bottom where she got the stitches out has a wider scar. It's not bad but the rest is just a fine white line whereas that bit is 3-4mm wide. |
There's been trauma to the tissues of course there is swelling, I'm sure she gave you care instructions. Follow them. How nice she braided back the hair!! He'll be groggy or "drunk" for the rest of the day. Careful with food and water.......once again, follow the vet's instructions. Did she give you any indication what it may have been and did she get it all? Paige had mammary lumps and one spot not all the "cells" were removed and the lump came back. Not at the other sites. Remember the new hair around the wound may come back black and then turn back to normal color later. |
Glad to hear he is done. Love that they used the braids!! He looks so cute but forlorn in that second picture |

I was overwhelmed trying to remember what meds to give when so I didn't think to ask. I have to call tomorrow they have Laika's name on the bill and I need that changed for insurance purposes. Oh I hope the cover it, or I will be tempted to cancel. I also noticed they didn't clean his teeth they aren't bad but she suggested it and I notice it wasn't done which is disappointing. |
Angus' incision wasn't too pretty after a couple of days. His was on his back leg from a cyst removal. We chuckled at him on the ride home after surgery. He refused to lay down in the van....stood the 40 minute ride home....even fell asleep standing up! They are funny when they are groggy. You always feel so bad putting them through something like this.....probably harder on us than them! Give Langley a hug! |
Nice vet! Braid! He looks great. So cute. More hug to you and him! |
Awwww! Hugs! Cindy |
Looks like he's doing well. They forgot the dental??? That's just crazy! |
Well he has diarrhea. I was told to not do what I usually do and withhold a feeding. Poor guy now I have little ponies holding up his fur around his bum:( It took 20 min to clean his bum area with a facecloth hope that helps. Cannot put him in the tub yet. I noticed they didn't clean his teeth like talked about they aren't too bad but while under... so I brought it up and they said when I want to they will do it and not charge for the anesthesia. How awesome my vet is!! Langley thanks you for all the hugs and wishes I would stop kissing him on the forehead while he sleeps. |
Lots of hugs to you and Your Langley. I think your vet did a nice job! |
What nice vets. Glad he's doing well. Hope you stop freaking out soon <g> kristine |
