Morning routine for Harry is breakfast and three cookies: One before breakfast, one after breakfast and one to take and bury outside. Since we haven't had significant moisture in months, the ground is hard, digging is tough. Poor Harry has had to go far and wide to bury the treasure. At least until DH provided a new spot. Our "lawn" is in serious need of thatch removal..the fesuce which has never needed thatch removal has been overrun by bermudagrass which is just a mess. Instead of wasting money on hiring the job done or renting the equipment, DH has decided he'll hand rake for the next month. Not all the piles get picked up at the end of the day. Harry has discovered the piles of grass thatch are perfect sites to bury bones!! When the piles do get picked up, there's a good chance there's a treasure inside. What to do? Just leave in place and hopefully either Harry or MO wills stumble upon it before some raven comes along and steals it. |

You need to bake some of these into some cookies and give it to him as the third cookie! In no time, you'll have some of your own money plants, courteous of Harry!!! BTW, this is for real! There is a plant called the Money Plant; scientific name is lunaria annua. **Disclaimer** Of course I'm kidding; I don't think it would be smart to feed a dog seeds, raw or baked. I just thought this would be moderately funny. Vance |
Indeed there is a plant called money tree. Lovely seed "containers" but does take some work peeling off the seed coats to reveal these delicate "coins." If Harry could he'd be glad to plant anything I ask of him.......he's always been super helpful. This is the same dog that buries bagels in rugs. The lawn is about 15,000 square feet, so the little that gets raked per day should leave him many possible burial locations for a couple of weeks. He's still Harry though the tumor grows larger in his throat. Over the weeked he could barely bark and I thought but his voice is back! He does sequester himself a bit more which tells me he has times he just doesn't feel well, but call him and he's a tail waggin' boy once again. Last night I dreamed I had a new dog.........it was small and either dark brown or black.....like a small Pom. Tooo many "toys" viewed on TV? Maybe tonight I'll dream about a lighter colored dog, more black and white puppy. |
