Taggart James my love is gone
My darling boy, I already miss you so deeply, that the hole in heart feels like it will never heal. You came in to my life in May 2006! What a surprise you were, so big and with a big blue eye! You were an amazing delight! We fell in love instantly and forever! You came at a time that I thought would be difficult to incorporate a new dog in to the family pack, two already here and you needed a home. So we made it three. There was mom's Daisy and my Kiera Jean and you. My mom had just had a major stroke and was still recovering from it when we brought you in to the family. I thought I would have to pass on adding you to our family, but mom kept saying no, go get him, go get him. So I did, I drove to So Cal and met you for the first time. I was delighted. You had the name Topper from your original family, but you didn't seem to respond to it, they probably had a nick name for you, I didn't know what it was so I felt like a brand new name for you would be okay and you seemed to like it. Taggart James it was. You joined the family with no issue and no hickups. The girls loved you, you would groom them and their ears, they thought they had died and gone to heaven. Mom thought you were so cute, and you her. The two of you were quite a pair. As she has declined, you always adapted to it, with her being in the wheel chair full time, you would lay your head in her lap so she could pet you. You always supervised anyone who had to change her diaper and care for her. Always her guardian angel. She will miss you deeply. In the last 15 months I have lost my niece, my brother, a friend and now you. Honestly, I do not know how much more I can take... I thought I was out of tears....  My heart breaks everytime I read a beloved pet crosses the Rainbow Bridge. Taggart James was a Very Lucky Boy to be sooooooooo loved.  The loss is always significant. You have my deepest sympathy. |
| Tagg was my California boyfriend from the first minute I met him. He was a huge sweetie-pie and would look at you as if you were the greatest thing on the face of the earth, when in truth it was Taggart who took that honor. Regarding your other recent losses: I've been through a time in my life when I had many people close to me pass on within months ande weeks of each other, It is very hard to move on in life without them, but you'll do it. | Leslie, What a beautiful tribute letter to Taggart James. My heart goes out to you with big hugs. I lost my father and my 13 yr old sheltie two years ago within a month of each other, then our beloved beardie and three friends this past year. It is overwhelming and often feels like you can't take more, but your letter is a tribute not only to Taggart James but to your own strength and capacity to love again in tribute to your loved ones who have passed but are always with you in spirit.
