Marshmallow went home

Yesterday I was outside, and a neighbour girl came and said she knows who the cat belongs to. She babysits at this house, and the cat is theirs, they also have a sister cat...also pure white but two green eyes and can see.

They never posted any signs because everyone told them she must have been killed by a car or by the coyotes. I told them I had an ad in the newspaper and at the pet stores...anyways they were so suprised to have her back. They said she is just over one year. They were about to take them both in have them spayed and declawed, and micro-chipped but the vet bill is approx gonna be $600....so I reccommended going to the spca pets in the park...micro-chips are cheaper, and the spay clinic is cheapest place to go for spay and neuters and then they will also tatoo them for $5. They don't have to declaw, and I hope they don't. I suggessted using a dog run (cord/wire) set up to get the cat freedom outside with being tangled up in a leash...that should solve alot of the problems...she likes to be outside and their house is in a bad spot for street traffic...where we were in the corner with a field behind us.

So hopefully all will work out, they just moved her not to long ago and have a child with speech dissabilities they've been focused on her and not the cats. Now they think the sister cat possibly got pregnant...

I am sure you are sad to see her go, but I am sure the family is very happy to have her back. You did a great thing by taking her in and taking such good care of her. I hope they thanked you.

Oh Daisie! That's so sad! I mean, it's nice that she got to go home, but so sad for you! You are still an angel, in my book, for loving her and taking her in and taking such good care of her these past few weeks.
I loved the happy ending!! If they didn't thank you and give you a big hug then I am doing a virtual one for you. You did a wonderful thing, you have a big heart to take care of her. I hope they can find a way to not declaw either of them, the soft paws sold at Petsmart, are a wonderful new alternative. I liked your suggestion of a dog run for them to have the fresh air safely. They can also build something like that for less, if they were so inclined.
Your husband was wonderful letting her stay as long as she did, even though he wasn't ready for another pet. I thank him as well.
I hope your doorstep stays empty for awhile, but knowing how well you treated Marshmallow, they are spreading the rumors now.

Hugs,
Stormi and co.
I'm sad for you but glad that she got home, I bet they missed her. You did a good deed!!!!!!!!
Yeah they missed her, I am so tempted to take a kitten from the sister cat if she turns out to be pregnant. As much as we've got going on, nothing beats a new baby in the house, human or animals.

I just wish them well and hope they learned something, and at the very minimum put a collar and tag on her, that also identifies as deaf.

I'll keep you all posted. She's so friendly and has no fear of anything, and that's a bad thing when she plays on the road. I cringe for her, and hope they take better care of her. She is precious, I will miss having her sleep with me.
