I read in the scheduele that the crate has to be the right size for breed and be able to fit on the bench, and you cannot put them on the floor. I have a soft crate which is big. (Like the one mel and val had at the open show back in may) and i have a wired crate i can lend back off a friend which is very big. I dont want to take a crate which wont fit... Also do you have to take a crate? Bloo isnt crate trained at all, and is scared to death of it when i put it up. (I tried to get him used to it...) He wont go near it. I know the dogs are better in crates as they wont get as stressed etc. However Bloo would freak out if i was to put him in a cage. |

If he isn't crate trained a big show may not be the place to force the issue - can you get along without one? Have someone with you to hold him as needed? Kristine |
Remember last year when lori and myself was on the end and we had not used our bench. If you get there early you can find a spot as long as your not in the way. I would say take your table as well and a trolley you can push the trolley and your mum can hold bloo |
As Bloo is not crate trained then he should not be made to go in to one ; there is not a lot of space for crates unless you can put it on the reg size of your space (last year a chap tried to move the spaces apart he was told in no curtain teams if he dont put it back he will be kennel club and wont be able to show ;boy did he move it back very quick ) |
So its probably best if I were to not take a crate then and bloo can just chill on a blanket on his bench or something. Is there space for grooming tables. I got one on wheels for xmas |
