| Wow, everyone! Bob says thanks for all the good wishes. He had a lowkey birthday. It was damp and cold and he was a bit creaky, so we just wandered outside the pasture and he ate some grass, then had a pound of carrots and an apple. He did SOMETHING the night before in his stall--he looked like he went a few rounds at the local gym. Had a gash over his eye and one on the side. Kids. Brenda, as far as how he got his name, it isn't much of a story. I like people names for animals and when I decided to buy a horse, I said "his name will be Bob." So I looked for a horse who looked like his name would be Bob. That is one of the dumbest reasons to buy a horse, but as soon as I saw his face over the fence, I said "that's Bob and I'm going to buy him." He was the best $1,500 I ever spent and I haven't regretted one dime or one minute of the last 25 years. I can't believe the 2 year old I bought in 1987 is now 28! |

| RE: naming Bob the name Bob... Growing up we had a horse named Steve Wilson - he came with the name. Then my rescue horse's name was Pete - he came with it, but it totally suited him!! |
