I gave each of the dogs a finished peanut butter tub today. They had a nice layer of peanut on the inside. DH said I was cruel because they are a little over 10cm or 4inches deep and taller than they are wide so that they'd be frustrated because they wouldn't be able to get the peanut butter out of the bottom of the jars. Well Tiggy has the process down pat, she holds the jar between her paws and after lots of slurping and sucking noises.....voila a perfectly clean jar. She can get her tongue all the way to the bottom with enough length left for cleaning up the peanut butter. Tried to get a picture but all you can see is a big hairy head and two hairy paws. Rastus gave up on his so Tiggy is finishing it for him. |

I think saying Tiggy can't do something is pretty much a guarantee that she will do it! |
Where there's a will, there is a way....... |
she is part oes, part anteater.... |

Tiggy is such a good girl to help out her brother. |
It gets polished clean at our house too! Bond as a (little) puppy, with his 1st PB jar. He managed to clean out every speck. |
lol Darcy.... That tongue was probably pretty sore the next day... I can't imagine getting to the bottom of the jar! |

As much as Mady et al. love peanut butter, we stopped giving her the container to lick after the first one. When she was about 5 months old, she was given a container, and we heard a crack, she broke the container and there was a small piece of it missing, we searched everywhere, and in our new-puppy-owner panic were desperately worried that she swallowed it and she could end up with a blockage or something. It DID reappear about 2 days later on one of our walks. So, since that time, Mady nor the new girls have been allowed this luxury. We're big meanies. |

I had a dog nearly bowel obstruct from a Greenie when they 1st came out. It was a fairly common problem, and supposedly they changed the product formulation after it was happening...but I still avoid them. Once burned.... |
