Babysitting

We baby sat a friend's 7-year old Samoyed male today while she had surgery.

He was a very well behaved dog and tolerated Winston very well. He proved the idea that other dogs don't know how to play with sheepies. He didn't know if Dex or Win were trying to kick his butt, eat him or what. No aggression or egative response, he just wouldn't play and didn't understand being herded. When Dex and Win played together, rearing up on the back legs at each other, he would stand and watch like he was amazed.

Pee breaks were hilarious. They would all go a spot and relieve themselves then make round-robins over-marking each other until I finally said "Enough, let's go in the house."

They all look pretty chilled.

I would have cracked up at the potty break antics too.
Looks more like a husky to me.

Yeah, we have the round robins here to...mostly on walks.
Eventually wouldn't they just run out of pee? That must have been amusing to watch. They all look very mellow!
Thor may be a Husky but a very large Husky.

When our guys are on a marking mission they don't realize when they run out of pee, they just keep cocking a leg.

Bad news is Thor peed and pooped in our bedroom shortly after arrival. Dex was honor bound to over mark the spot sometime during the night. We hope he's done!
Looks like Dex and Win are sitting around the Samoyed to see what he is going to do next :D
Great to have a friend sleep over
They each had a new chew. When I walked in with the camera Thor was more intent on the chew, Dex and Win wondered it I had another treat.
Def not a Samoyed. I have about 30 friends in the breed.... They are white, and the only allowed color is a beige to reddish tint - it's called "biscuit". It can be points (around muzzle, ear tips) or as actual spots on the body. Never a mask that this dog has. But didn't see this dog standing, etc - maybe a mix?

Most BYB Siberians are way over sized - they should be about 40 pound dogs. One of my best friends raises and shows/sleds Siberians. Pet breed ones we get in class are easily double that. In fact many are as big as Malamutes.

But off topic a bit - glad they had fun!
Thor was so big I assumed he was other than a Husky; taller than Dex though not as stocky. I have looked on the Internet a little and he is likely a Malamute; looks just like the dog that comes up on Google.
