If you give me some time to find it, I have a Word document with like 100 different recipes back from when I was making them. I'll look on my server tonight so hang tight. I'll post some here as well. Vance |
I FOUND IT!!! I have the file that I was talking about and HOLY CRAP, there are a ton of recipes in this. I started out with a Word DOC and started cleaning it up to make it pretty and the format consistent from recipe to recipe but there are like 300 recipes here. After 16 pages, I gave up on my formatting venture. I converted into a PDF so I could post it here for download. I will continue cleaning it up but I wanted to get it posted before that as it will take me weeks! ***DISCLAIMER ALERT*** I will say outright that I cannot and will not be held responsible for any dog, cat or human getting sick from eating these. I got this list of the internet well over ten years ago and some of the ingredients may not 'agree' with all who consume. Basically, I'm telling you to use your own brain and look at what you’re making. If you know your dog gets sick from peanuts, don’t make a peanut treat, feed it to them, watch them get sick and then get mad at me… So with that out of the way… http://photos.oes.org/albums/userpics/1 ... ecipes.pdf Enjoy and post some results! Thanks Vance! I lost my printer in the flood but will print this out from work next week. Thank you! |
Thanks, Vance! At a quick glance, these look great. Benson has some great, home-made treats that she loves from a local orchard, but their availability is very hit-or-miss. I've decided to start making my own treats for her, and this is perfect timing! |
Hi All, I've been looking for a good cookbook for dog treats (I'm a big baker), and along the way I came across this adorable birthday cake recipe that I thought I'd share. It is edible by both humans and dogs, and I'm already thinking of hosting a birthday party for Daisy's first birthday and having this as a treat at the dog park. Clearly I'm planning way too far into the future seeing as she's not born yet, but I can dream, right?! Anyway, thought I'd share as it looks like a treat: Ingredients: 1 cup goat yogurt or balkan style yogurt 2 cups whole grain flour 2/3 cup filtered water 1 tsp sea salt 1 tsp vanilla extract 1 cup carob powder 1/2 cup finely chopped unsalted nuts 1 tsp baking powder Instructions Preheat oven to 350 lightly grease a square baking pan combine flour and water until smooth add yogurt and mix well add remaining ingredients and make sure everything is well combined pour into cake pan bake for 25 mins or until the top bounces back when pressed cool completely decorate |
I have to laugh at the title of this thread. Someone might think "recipes using dog as an ingredient??" Like the Twilight Zone episode "To Serve Mankind." |
