Good-bye my sweet Ziggi
Today is my last day with my sweet Ziggi, she will be crossing the rainbow bridge tomorrow morning. For the last few weeks, Ziggi has been deteriorating and she is having a very hard time. A mobile Vet came to the house on Thursday and examinied her and said she has heart failure and it seems her organs are starting to shut down. So, I made the decision to let her go and run free on the other side of the bridge. It has been nice to have the weekend with her to say good-bye and snuggle as much as possible. To see her struggling to just get up, breaks my heart. She gets worse with each passing hour and I now have to use a towel to help her stand-up. I have been spoiling her all weekend with her favorite things to eat and tonight we are having hamburgers and french fries. She is a sweet, gentle girl and I will miss my bestfriend terribly, but I know this is the right steps. I have been truly blessed to have her in my life. |

| I am so sorry this is happening. Trying to think of something to write through my tears. We arranged a day ahead to do the same with Pooh Bear. I was such a wreck that evening. I slept in the basement with him that night because he couldn't get up anymore. His organs were shutting down too. My heart goes out to you. Give Ziggi a big hug and kiss on her nose from me. I'm sure Pooh will be there waiting for her along with all the others at Rainbow Bridge. Lots of hugs for you, too. |

| That is truly one of the most difficult parts of having a pet... but when you know it's the right time you can at least take comfort in knowing they are at peace. Sorry for your loss, Leslie |

| Thank you all for the hugs and well wishes. Ziggi crossed the bridge just a little while ago and it was very peaceful and beautiful. Knowing that it was her time to go and that I was saving her further difficulty is the one thing that makes this bearable. Run free my sweet girl, I will come get you as soon as possible. |

| I'm so terribly sorry to hear of Ziggi's passing. Been where you are several times and it's never easy but always remember you did what was in her best interest. | I am so sorry for your loss. Our sheepie passed away 5 days before Christmas. My heart hurts and I cry daily but it sounds like they have some amazing friends over the bridge to give and that is helping me get through this tough time. That had to be such a hard decision to make. |

| Michele, I'm so sorry for the loss of your sweet Ziggy. It hurts like 'ell to lose a loved one but the pain does ease after a period of time and is replaced by smiles at memories.However, they are never forgotten because their spirits have left imprints on our hearts. Oh how we wish they lived longer but sadly we must continue on with only the memories of them forever in our hearts and in our minds. Godspeed Ziggy you were a wonderful dog. |
