Start them in cold water, bring to boil, turn off heat and let sit in the water......covered for 10-15 minutes depending on size of eggs. Salt in the water....yeah, that probably helps but I forget. Don't hard boil fresh eggs. You need to have more air trapped inside between the membrane and shell for easier peeling. At church we add the color to the cooking water so they boil in the dye. |
Todd makes our eggs - like Susan says above. They turn out perfect every time. He had lots of practice. When we were `1st married and had no money, I managed a 35000 laying hen farm. We ate lots and LOTS of eggs! Amazingly, we both still love them. |
