And the road that takes us to pet shop and college is major flooded...I hope they clear itby the time I needvto be back at college or I'm stuck... Please post how you all are |

Wow. Hope everyone is okay over there in the UK. I didn't see anything on the news or weather about flooding there. My thoughts and prayers go out to you all and hope you are safe... |
Its a bit soggy here but not to bad considering we have three rivers in town, one of the river bank walks they repaired a few weeks back has all fallen in again, all the piled spruce timbers they drove in are on their side, but then maybe they should have backfilled with concrete not clay, which does what when it gets wet? - yup it swells! I bet whoever was in charge has a degree! The grassed areas are like a permanent muddy soup at the moment. |
I knew BI and Europe weather has been a ......."challenge" but had no idea about the flooding. Not good about watching the BBC all the time. Stay safe! |
Will no too sure what it is like in Bedford as I am at work. Before I left to go to work & took Georgie out & she looked like Archie |
Ok where I am Sam. Apart from the bottom of the path in my garden. Summer went out last night and looked at the muddy garden and then at me! I said could be a "CAT" she flew down the path and jumped over a massive puddle at the end of the path. She did go to the toilet whilst she was there. The sun is actually shining today......shhhhhhh |

Here seagulls find a perch at Pangbourne, Berkshire. Hope all you sheepie-people are ok! All the bad weather that hits UK comes to Norway a little later, often a little kinder and a little colder. Lets hope for a lot more better weather next year! |
Is it normal for all this precipitation to come as rain this time of year? But maybe good, as it would be VERY much if it came as snow!! |
Brit winters on the whole have been damp for years, but on the back of a soggy year the ground simply can't take it. I think we should harvest it and sell it to dry countries as we have so much of the stuff. It would help if they had a continual dredging programme to give the rivers more capacity. We always get get delayed wetness when the USA is hit badly by Hurricanes too. |
Britain is kept warmer by the prevailing winds going over the gulf stream in the Atlantic, so their winters are milder than say, New England at about the same latitude. |
It's usually wet and damp. This year it's something to do with the gulf stream running the wrong way through. So UK has had lot of wet weather. 2012 is the wettest year in British history since 2001 according to news. |
I didn't know you were having floods. Thinking of you and checking for updates. Please stay safe. |
